The Murray State Student Government Association revealed their candidates for its upcoming elections.
All students currently enrolled in a class at Murray State University will be able to vote on these positions on March 9 and 10 through MyGate.
Student Government President/Student Regent to the Board of Regents:
- Maggie White
- Cesar Villeda
Running unopposed, Henry Porter, Cameron Wright and Will Van Horn will be the candidates for executive vice president, vice president of administration and vice president of student connections, respectively.
Eight members for the senator at large positions will be chosen between:

- Isaac Kinsey
- Breece Mohon
- John Phillip Foley
- Joshua Amann
- Gary Rogers
- Clay Zimmerman
- Matthew Ashlock
- Kiersten “KK” Harper
- Ellie Whiteside
- Cole Foltz

The candidates for the positions of academic college and residential college senators will be chosen between their respective constituents.
Three agriculture academic college senators will be chosen between:

- Julia Marshall
- Mary Brooke Smith
- Josie Bailey
- Ella Engelau
- Brayden Tosh
Three business academic college senators will be chosen between:
- Chris Cummins
- Caroline Smith
- Natalie Gipson
- Carson Todd
- Jesse Hutchens
- Carson Weiss
- Korbin Conner
- Noah Elliot
- Natalie Shemwell
Three education and human services academic college senators will be chosen between
- Sophie Hollowell,
- Ellington Varner
- Sydney Foltz,
- Libby McBryde
- Hannah Murphy
Three science, engineering and technology academic senators will be chosen between:
- Adyson Chambers
- Tate Weatherly
- Oak Shain
- Omar Khatib
Two RCC senators for RH White will be chosen between:
- Allina Decker
- Braden Lacefield
- Gibson Dame
Emma Henderson, Kyra Jones and Brady Doninger will be running unopposed for the position of humanities and fine arts academic college senators. For nursing and health profession academic college senator positions, Emma LeClere and Jocelyn Reddick will also be unopposed. Likewise, Kirsten Laughary, Finn Stroud, Luke Tompkins and Raeya Burton will be running unopposed as RCC senators for Clark, Elizabeth, Hester and Franklin colleges, respectively.
Bill 90-26-B1 was passed unanimously in a vocal vote during Wednesday’s Student Senate meeting. The bill amended articles II and IV of the Student Senate bylaws so as to remain consistent with the newly changed constitution. This includes omitting all mentions of the former position of vice president of finance and replacing it with the vice president of student connections and their responsibilities.
