Cesar Villeda, formerly director of election ways and means, won the presidency for the Student Government Association.
President: 1,250 votes
Villeda has won the SGA presidency with 699 votes (56%).
With this victory, Villeda will now represent the student body at the Board of Regents. But neither he nor Maggie White, his opponent, was present at the announcement for comment.
Villeda based his campaign on raising the minimum wage for student workers and having a greater focus on their needs at Murray State.
