The Murray State Racers are looking to record their first win of the 2025 season against the Youngstown State Penguins on Saturday, Oct. 25, after seven straight losses.
The Racers have been unable to produce a win this season, despite multiple close games. On Friday, Oct. 18, Murray State fell to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits 35-14 at Roy Stewart Stadium, despite holding them to 7-7 at the half and gaining 438 total yards to the Jackrabbits’ 269.
The Racers scored on their longest pass play of the season in the first quarter against South Dakota State when redshirt freshman Jim Ogle threw a 65-yard touchdown to redshirt sophomore Darius Cannon. Ogle is now fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference in pass completions with 59 total.
This Saturday is the Racers’ first trip to Youngstown State since 1987 and kick off is set for 2 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium in Youngstown, Ohio.
