On Sunday, the Racers faced off against Valparaiso in their final home match and walked away with a 2-1 win. Valparaiso scored their first and only goal within the first minutes of the match, with the Racer defense only allowing four more shots in the first half.
The Racers started the second half off right with a goal from Sydney Etter in the 50th minute, tying the match. The game-winning goal was scored from a header by Morgan Bodker in the 67th minute. This was a perfect ending for the match and for the Racers final home game, with Bodker scoring her third game-winning goal on her final game at Cutchin Field.
With their home games for the season completed, the Racers will hit the road for their final two matches against Northern Iowa on Thursday, and Drake on Sunday.
