The Racers walked away with a win for the women and a loss for the men after a double header on Sunday, Feb. 15.
The women’s team started the day off strong with a win over UIC to stay undefeated at the Bank. The team, led this game by junior guard Halli Poock, took the lead early in the first quarter and never relinquished it despite being outscored in the second half. Poock scored a game-high 32 points, helping the Racers hold on against a strong performance from the Flames.

After the win from the women, the men’s team faced off against Belmont in a game with two very one-sided halves.
The Racers came out incredibly strong in the first half, outscoring Belmont 39-24 and holding them to a 30.8% field goal percentage. Belmont finished the first half with more turnovers than made field goals, nine turnovers and eight made field goals. The second half felt like an entirely different game with Belmont coming out strong, clawing back points until taking the lead and relentlessly scoring till the final buzzer. After outscoring the Bruins in the first half, they then outscored the Racers in the second half 63-31.
