Murray State football delivered an effort against the North Dakota State Bison, showing moments of promise, but ultimately fell short at Roy Stewart Stadium on Oct. 26.
Both of the Racers’ scores came from kicker James London, who made a 24-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 47-yard field goal in the fourth, ending the game with a final score of 59-6. Though the Racers’ scores derived solely from the special teams unit, wide receiver J’Kalon Carter made a statement, catching four passes for a total of 70 yards to lead the Racers on offense.
On defense, the Racers blocked two punts, executed by Jayson Coley and Esteban Guillory, providing crucial stops to slow down the Bison. Defensive back Kanyon Walker recorded seven tackles against North Dakota State’s powerful offense.
Up next, the Racers will head to Brookings, South Dakota to meet the No. 3-ranked South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Saturday, Nov. 2.
