Murray State women’s golf placed 11th in the Red Wolves Classic in Jonesboro, Arkansas on Oct. 14-15.
The Racers carded 300-308-299=907 which was one stroke shy of a top-10 spot, which was occupied by North Alabama. They finished above Austin Peay in 12th, who beat them in the Battle of the Border match play 4-3 on Oct. 6-7.
Sophomore Patti Patterson had the highest individual finish for the Racers, placing 18th after shooting 75-73-75=223. Freshman Elin Tynan shot two strokes higher than Patterson, landing her in 27th. Sophomore Ella Scherer and graduate Eliza Mae Kho both tied for 50th by scoring 230.
The Racers fall season comes to a close at the “The Robbie” invitational at Hampton Cove Golf Course in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
