On Friday, Sept. 20, the Missouri Valley Conference released the full men’s basketball schedule. Murray State fans can now start planning ahead for the Racers third season in the MVC and their 100th season.
Each MVC team plays two conference games in the middle of their respective non-conference schedules. Murray State will host the Evansville Aces on Dec. 3 and will travel to Terre Haute, Indiana on Dec. 18 to play the Indiana State Sycamores.
The Racers open 2025 by playing their only matchup against Illinois State at the CFSB Center on Jan. 2. They will then take a two game road trip to Iowa, where they will play the reigning MVC tournament champion Drake Bulldogs in Des Moines on Jan. 5, and then to Cedar Falls on Jan. 8 to face off against Northern Iowa.
Two of three Murray State home games in January will be played against Bradley on Jan. 18 and their rivals, the Belmont Bruins on Jan. 25. In between those home games, the Racers travel to Carbondale to face the Southern Illinois Salukis on Jan. 25.
Murray State travels to Springfield, Missouri for a one-time clash with Missouri State on Feb. 1. Drake travels to “The Bank” on Feb. 4 before the Racers go to Valparaiso on Feb. 8. Murray State will then play three-straight home games against Illinois-Chicago on Feb. 11, UNI on Feb. 16 and SIU on Feb. 19.
The Racers final home game of the season will be against Indiana State on Feb. 25 and the season finale will take place in Nashville, Tennessee on Mar. 2 against Belmont.
Murray State will finish the season in St. Louis at the Missouri Valley Conference tournament at the Enterprise Center for Mar. 6-9.
Men’s basketball has yet to release a non-conference schedule as they are waiting to schedule a few more games. As soon as that schedule becomes available, The Murray State News will provide an update.
