Tim Todd, former provost and vice president of academic affairs at Murray State University, has been named interim dean of the University of Tennessee at Martin College of Business and Global Affairs, according to a news release.
Todd will lead UT Martin’s business programs, with an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation, a title held by 6% of business programs. The school also secured approval and funding to build a new Business Administration Building, which is expected to be completed in 2030.
He previously served as the dean of the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business. During this time, he oversaw six academic departments, a $120,000 renovation of the State Farm Financial Service Resource Center, created new programs and led fundraising efforts that averaged over $835,000 per year.
Todd is expected to begin his position on July 1.
His lawsuit filed against the University for breach of contract over removal from his position as provost, was dismissed by a Kentucky judge. WKMS reports the suit was resolved out of court.
