Murray State University President Ron Patterson will be inaugurated during a two-day celebration April 13-14.
“An inauguration marks an important milestone in the life of a university — honoring our traditions while looking ahead to the opportunities that are before us,” Patterson said in an email distributed to the campus community.
The inauguration will be a series of events on April 13-14, at Lovett Auditorium. Information about the event may be found at this site.
April 13, Monday
- 2-3:30 p.m., Presidential Panel and Faculty Symposium, Don I. Tharpe Lecture Hall, School of Engineering (EP 1303)
- 4-4:45 p.m., Celebration in the Quad
- 4:45–6 p.m, First Lady Cookout and Ice Cream Social, in the Quad.
- 6-7 p.m., Campus Scavenger Hunt, various locations.
April 13, Tuesday
- 11 a.m., Presidential Investiture, Lovett Auditorium, with a reception following in Pogue Library.
