Murray State officials broke ground Friday for the proposed Jim and Sue Cash Baseball Clubhouse at Johnny Reagan Field.
The project was made possible by the $1 million gift from Jim and Sue Cash, which secured the naming rights for the clubhouse. The clubhouse will host over 3,000 square feet of baseball facilities, featuring new locker rooms, a player lounge, a team meeting room, and a training room behind the right-field wall of Johnny Reagan Field.
President Ron Patterson, Athletics Director Nico Yantko, the Board of Regents, and others participated in the ceremony.
In 2025, the Murray State baseball team made history at the Men’s College World Series, advancing to Omaha for the first time in school history and winning the Missouri Valley Conference title, the Oxford Regional, and the Durham Super Regional. The Racers lost two games to UCLA and Arkansas in the College World Series.
