Murray State University officials announced the death of a student Thursday night.
Samantha Dalton, a pre-veterinary medicine student from Clarksville, Tennessee, died Thursday, Dec. 11, according to a campus-wide email announcement released Thursday night.
The circumstances of Dalton’s passing are unknown. University officials extended their condolences to her friends and family in the campus announcement. Counseling services are available by emailing [email protected] or by phoning 270-809-6851. Faculty and staff can call 800-441-1327.
“Recognizing that many of our students have concluded the fall semester and are at home for the holiday break, our partnership with TimelyCare provides 24/7 access to virtual mental health services as well,” the University said in a statement. “We are a close-knit community, and this loss is felt deeply by our Racer family.”
