The Kentucky Comedy Festival will bring nationally recognized stand-up comedians to Murray, Kentucky, this fall as part of its 2025 Fall Series.
These performances are part of a multiple-night event featuring clean, mainstream comedy acts designed to appeal to a wide range of audiences, from college students to longtime fans of live entertainment. Shows in Murray, Kentucky, are set for 7-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, in Wrather Hall. Doors will open at 6 p.m. before each event.
This year’s acts include performers such as Jenna Kim Jones, a comedian who is known for her relatable, family-friendly humor, and Josh Sneed, whose career has seen clubs, theaters and festivals across the country. Both comedians said performing at the festival is a great opportunity to connect with Kentucky audiences in a community and college-centered setting.
“This will be my first year at the Kentucky Comedy Festival and I am so honored to be part of it,” Jones said.
Known for her accessible and clean comedic style, Jones said her act is appealing to anyone looking for laughs without the shock value.
“I guarantee that you will laugh,” she said. “I don’t care who you are, there is something for everyone in my show.”
Sneed said he had a similar sense of excitement about joining the festival’s roster.
“I haven’t been a part of this festival before, but I’m very excited to,” he said. “When you look at the entire roster of the festival, it’s an honor to be part of an event with such great comedians.”
Sneed said festivals differ from traditional comedy club circuits because they create a celebratory environment.
“With festivals like this, they are curated and feel more like a special event,” he said. “So to be picked to be a part of such a limited number of shows means a lot.”
Organizers of the Kentucky Comedy Festival have created the event as a way to bring high-level comedy to regions that do not host full-time comedy clubs. For both performers and audiences, the series of events provides a chance to build connections through live entertainment.
“Anytime a community gets together to have a laugh, it can be such a needed escape from whatever they have going on,” Sneed said. “Come have a good time with your neighbors, you’ll be glad you did.”
The 2025 Fall Series continues the festival’s mission to spotlight diverse comedic voices while supporting local venues and audiences.
