Murray State rifle moved to 2-1 this season after beating in-state and OVC rival, Morehead State 4722-4678 on Oct. 20.
The Racers shot a 2348 in smallbore and a 2374 in air rifle. Carlotta Salafia was the top individual performer for the match, posting an aggregate score of 1186. She posted the highest individual score in air rifle with 599 and the third-highest smallbore score, behind teammates John Blanton and Emma Lawrence, with a 587.
Murray State had eight of the top-10 individual finishes in smallbore, including the first five spots. The Racers also had seven of the top-10 individual air rifle scores, including first and second.
Murray State’s next match will take place in Columbus, Ohio, where the Racers will face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Nov. 2-3.
