The Murray State women’s golf team placed fourth after the three-day OVC Tournament at the Hampton Cove Golf Course in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. They placed with rounds of 303-305-299—907, ending the three-year OVC Championship streak for the Racers.
Senior Raeysha Surendran placed seventh in the competition after making rounds of 73-70-78—221 while sophomore Ana Garcia Picchi placed 11th with carded scores of 74-77-76—227.
Sophomore Payton Carter shot a line of 79-79-73—231, placing 20th in the OVC Tournament. Junior Sarah Forsythe placed 21st with scores of 77-84-72—233. Placing 31st in the tournament was freshman Briana McMinn, who shot rounds of 83-79-80—242.
Wrapping up the 2021 season, the Racers highlights this season include Surendran earning the OVC Golfer of the Week Award after the Kiawah Island Classic and Picchi earning the OVC Golfer of the Week Award after the Bama Beach Bash.
