The 48th annual Racer Round-up Rodeo was held at Murray State University’s William “Bill” Cherry Expo Center on the weekend of Nov. 16-18. The rodeo, which spanned three nights, includes events such as calf roping, goat tying, barrel racing and bull riding. The schools that participated in the rodeo are all part of the Ozark Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Each of the nine events awards one winner with a golden belt buckle. Here is a list of the winners:
- Bareback Riding- Kooper Heimburg, Missouri Valley College
- Calf Roping- Tanner Brown, East Mississippi Community College
- Breakaway Roping- Kate Eiland, Pearl River Community College
- Saddle Bronc Riding- Ross Price, Three Rivers College
- Steer Wrestling- Christian Cagle, Northwest Mississippi Community College
- Goat Tying- Kali Thompson, Southern Arkansas University
- Team Roping- Cooper Cowan, University of West Alabama, and Lathem Dickson, Southern Arkansas University
- Barrel Racing- Madison Shelton, University of Tennessee- Martin
- Bull Riding- Luke Stanley, Northwest Mississippi Community College
