Since when has rocking around the Christmas tree ever ended with someone going to the hospital?

On TLC’s hit show, “Sex Sent Me to the ER,” people’s comical mishaps are reenacted for a television audience. In an episode is named “Holiday Hanky-Panky,” three hilarious Christmas tales and a familiar face from Murray State will hit TV screens around the nation.

On this episode, Murray State graduate Angie Gregory will act in one of these stories as a leading character.

Gregory moved to California to pursue her dream of acting and has been in several television shows and independent films.

Her latest independent film “Republic of Rick” was chosen by MovieMaker as one of the top 10 picks at the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals. She also got a chance to be on the finale of “CSI.”

Gregory has developed a successful career as an actress and a plus sized model, but she said this role will be out of her comfort zone.

“I enjoy drama but I always try to stretch myself,” Gregory said. “That’s why I love doing ‘Sex Sent Me to the ER’ because it’s absurd acting comedy, so anytime I can do something like this to stretch myself as an actor, I try to dive straight in.”

Preparing herself for this role doesn’t just apply to the kind of acting she will be doing, but also how she will look in her appearance.

“The character I am going to play is named Megan,” Gregory said. “I might be a little hard to recognize because I will be wearing brown eye contacts and a blonde wig. And they had to make me look a little heavier than I am now, so I had to check my vanity at the door.”

“Holiday Hanky-Panky” will air Dec. 13 at 9 p.m. Central Time and on Dec. 14, 20 and 21 at various times. Viewers can find these times at TLC’s website under “Sex Sent Me to the ER.”
