The Murray State rifle team awaits the NCAA Selection Show after putting up another season-high aggregate score in the final match of the regular season.

The Racers finished in second against the University of Nebraska, but a 2321 smallbore and a season-high 2364 air rifle score was enough to put them at the No. 6 spot nationally, and in tournament contention.

Freshman Matias Kiuru led the Racers in all three categories with a 586 in smallbore and a 593 in air rifle for a 1179 aggregate. Junior Dana Buesseler finished with a 581 in smallbore and a 585 in air rifle.

Sophomore Emily Fitzgerald contributed to the team aggregate with a season-high aggregate of her own. The Peralta, New Mexico, native scored a 576 in smallbore and a 588 in air rifle for an aggregate of 1164.

Senior Meike Drewell finished the regular season with a 575 in smallbore and senior Shelby Huber scored a 579. Both players put up 591 points in air rifle.

Murray State reaches its sixth-consecutive, 34th all-time NCAA Rifle Championship. The tournament begins on Friday, March 13, and will end the following Saturday at the Memorial Coliseum in Lexington, Kentucky.
