With another month comes another slate of new releases on Netflix. Based on an expansive list from “The Hollywood Reporter,” here’s a quick look at a few of the upcoming releases that are sure to entertain once they appear on the website.

The Notebook: March 1

Starting off this list is what’s sure to be on most people’s top five list of “chick flicks.” One of the earliest in a long line of film adaptations based on Nicholas Sparks novels, “The Notebook” tells the story of a poor man and a rich woman who fall in love but are torn apart by their social classes. It’s a film that is either loved, tolerated, or hated depending on whoever is asked what they think of it. But it should at least make a decent occasion for date night.

The Hurt Locker: March 1

Up next is what many consider to be one of the best war movies in recent memory. Winning six Oscars including Best Picture, “The Hurt Locker” stars Jeremy Renner as a sergeant assigned to a bomb squad in 2004 during the Iraq war, who is put at odds with his squad mates due to his way of work. Critically praised for its suspense, and the brilliant directing from Katheryn Bigelow, “The Hurt Locker” perfectly captures the stress and tension that would come from a war environment. War movie fans or admirers of Bigelow’s filmography are sure to enjoy this film.

Christopher Robin: March 5

One of last year’s best films, “Christopher Robin” is one of the better live-action adaptations of one of Disney’s animated properties. Rather than simply showing the events of a previously released animated film, “Christopher Robin” tells an original tale which features a much older Robin (Ewan McGregor) reconnecting with his old friend, Winnie the Pooh (Jim Cummings) and ultimately rediscovering his inner childhood. “Christopher Robin” is a film full of heart, lovable characters, and a wonderfully committed performance from McGregor. Definitely give this film a watch.

Triple Frontier: March 13

The only Netflix original film on the list, “Triple Frontier” looks to be another solid lineup to add to Netflix’s original filmography. The film will focus on five Special Forces operatives planning a heist in a multi-border zone in South America. The premise alone is interesting, but what sells the film most of all is its solid cast including Charlie Hunnam, Oscar Isaac, Garret Hedlund, Pedro Pascal, and Ben Affleck in his latest film role since his announced retirement of the Batman role. Based on the premise and cast involved, “Triple Frontier” will hopefully be an intense and entertaining heist film.
