Freshman Erika Sisk was announced on Jan. 15 as the OVC Freshman of the Week. This is the second straight week she has earned the title and her fifth overall this season.
The Oxford, Miss., guard averages 12 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, shooting for 32 percent in field goals.
Sisk led the team in its last two games against Belmont and Austin Peay, with 14.5 points shot for 50 percent beyond the arc. She also contributed another 3 assists, 3.5 steals and 0.5 blocks in the 1-1 trip.
She is also one of three Racers to average over 10 points per game. The other two include junior guard Erica Burgess and senior guard Mariah Robinson.
With five Freshman of the Week titles, Sisk has earned the award more than any other OVC freshman this season.
The season title record was formerly held by CoCo Moore from SIU Edwardsville with four titles.
