Alliance held its weekly meeting Sunday night in the Curris Center.

Alliance president, Will Heath opened the meeting by discussing the group’s upcoming events

The Racer Red Walk which is an AIDS walk will be on Dec. 1 starting at the Curris Center and ending at Lovett Auditorium. The time for the walk will be decided at next week’s meeting.

Heath said there were about 25 people at the walk last year, and he hopes more will attend.

Lee Alan Dugatkin will be presenting ‘The Prince of Evolution’ at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 in Mason Hall.

The lecture, which is from his recent publication under the same title, is free.

The next safer sex table will be Nov. 29 in the Curris Center. Members will be handing out brochures and condoms.

The meeting closed with taking nominations for marketing officer, social affairs chair and secretary.

Elections for the positions will be held at next week’s meeting.
