Just a few weeks after one Murray State alumni made an TV appearance on TLC, tonight on Spike TV, students, faculty and staff will be able to see another familiar Murray face grace their television screens.
Jess Brown, 2006 graduate, will be competing in Spike TV’s new original non-scripted competition series called “Framework.” Contestants on the show will put their artistry to the test through a series of challenges that will showcase their physical and creative limitations, as well as their knowledge of interior design.
Out of the 13 furniture designers, only one winner of will receive a prize of $100,000 and for their work to be sold by a major manufacturer at the end of the 10 week series.
The competition will be hosted by hip hop artist Common and will be joined by Nolen Niu and Brandon Gore, two renowned names in the furniture design world.
Brown, originally from Paducah, Ky., and a Heath High School graduate, works for Hasbro Inc. as a Product Development Project Manager in Licensing and runs her own furniture design/production business out of her studio in Pawtucket, R.I.
“Framework” will premiere on Spike TV tonight at 10 p.m. EST/9 p.m. CST.
