Murray State soccer broke out the brooms as they won every weekly award that the Missouri Valley Conference gives out, as announced by the league on Sept. 3.
Junior forward Sydney Etter, sophomore goalkeeper Griselda Revelorio, sophomore defender Kate Stordy and freshman midfielder Abbey MacDonald were named the Player, Goalkeeper, Defender and Freshman of the week respectively.
Etter earned Player of the Week honors after scoring two goals and an assist this past week. She had one goal and her assist against Austin Peay on Aug. 29, and her second goal came against UT Martin on Sept. 1.
Revelorio won Keeper of the Week in back-to-back weeks. She saved a combined eight shots between both games, bringing her to a MVC-leading 32 saves on the season and tying her for 15th-most in the country.
Head coach Matt Lodge gave credit to assistant coach Emily Kelly and her work with the goalkeepers so far, saying “they are improving daily.”
Stordy has earned a weekly honor for the first time in her career after she recorded the first two assists of her career against UT Martin. She delivered two corner kicks into the box where junior forward Mary Hardy turned both in for goals off of headers.
Stordy was also selected to Top Drawer Soccer’s Team of the Week that was also announced Tuesday. Top Drawer Soccer is the official provider of college and club soccer scores for over 100,000 players and 5,000 players nationwide.
MacDonald earned Freshman of the Week after getting the first two assists of her collegiate career against Austin Peay. Her two assist game was the first time a Racer, or a Racer freshman has done that since 2022.
