On Thursday night the Racers kicked off their centennial season against 11th ranked Mizzou. The Tigers scored on their first drive after an unsuccessful onside kick from the Racers, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Missouri scored their second goal in quick succession after a failed fourth down conversion from Murray State. The Racers defense managed to hold Missouri’s offense to only one touchdown in the second quarter with the help of a fumble recovery by defensive linemen Kevon Haigler. Final score: 51-0.
