Murray State sophomore guard Zay Jackson entered a guilty plea for two counts of wanton endangerment Friday morning at the Calloway County Circuit Court.
Jackson was initially charged with striking two people in a Walmart parking lot in Murray, Ky. Sept. 10.
Jackson was sentenced to 30 days in jail Friday and he will begin serving his sentence immediately.
He will not be formally sentenced until 8:30 a.m. Oct. 22.
The Racers’ first game against Brescia is on Nov. 9, less than 30 days from the start of the beginning of Jackson’s 30 day sentence.
There is no word on Jackson’s future status with the team or the University.
