Ali Khatib wins the race for Student Government Association president by two votes.
At their March 12 meeting, SGA announced the results of the recent election, which was as follows:
- SGA president: Ali Khatib (495) won over Brendan Hawkins (493)
- SGA executive vice president: Brooklyn Williams (507) won over Raeya Burton (459)
- SGA vice president of finance: Cameron Wright (497) won over Silas Jackson (460)
- SGA vice president of administration: Maggie White (517) won over Levi Lucas (447)
Both Hawkins’s and Khatib’s tickets were split with Williams and White winning from Hawkins’s ticket and Khatib and Wright winning from Khatib’s ticket.
With Khatib and Hawkins both bringing in 50% of the vote, this is the closest an election for SGA president has ever been at Murray State.

- Senators at Large: Warren Legg (275), Cady Zellers (313), Maddie McCormie (432), Evan Wilson (278), Cesar Villeda (418), Adam Rapp (283), Cole Foltz (261), Maddox Wilson (287)
- Hutson School of Agriculture senators: Ella Engelau (55) and Kenneth Baker (34)
- College of Business senators: Cody Culp (84), Jesse Hutchens (69) and Will Christopher (46) won over Laila Davis (37)
- College of Education & Human Services senators: Kaytlyn Coleman (70), Jared Juenger (66) and Sydney Foltz (71) won over Haleigh Cline (54)
- School of Nursing & Health Professions senators: James Davis (59), Wyatt Brown (33) and Will Van Horn (46)
- College of Science, Engineering, & Technology senators: Tatiana Sperver (65), Landon Kiesel (61) and Andrew Orr (115) won over R. Oak Shain (53)
- Clark Residential College senators: Libby McBryde (63) and Carson Todd (59)
- Elizabeth Residential College senators: Gavin Charleston (52) and Joscelyn Parker (63)
- Hart Residential College senator: Rex Brashear (98)
- Hester Residential College senator: Luke Tompkins (58)
