On Thursday Mar. 6, the Racers went head-to-head against the Evansville Purple Aces in the first round of Arch Madness at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship.
The Racers got off to a hot start in the first half, taking a 16-8 lead just over eight minutes into the game. Murray State kept the pressure on, taking their largest lead of the day with 5:03 left in the first half when Terence Harcum drilled a three-pointer to extend the Racers lead to 11.
Harcum went on to score a career-high 31 points and break the single-game Arch Madness record going 7/7 from beyond the arc. This performance helped carry the Racers to a win, advancing them to the second round of Arch Madness to face off against the Bradley Braves today at 6 p.m.
