Senior guard Kylen Milton smiles during warmups.
On Monday Feb. 17, the Racers took on the UNI Panthers in a “home game” hosted at Belmont due to an ongoing power outage at Murray State.
The Racers took an early lead with three pointers from both Kylen Milton and AJ Ferguson to go up 10-4. Terence Harcum led the team with 19 points, closely followed by Nick Ellington with 18 and JaCobi Wood with 15.
Despite the strong offensive showing from the Racers, they were unable to hold off the Panthers, never regaining the lead in the second half.
Final score:
Murray State – 67
Northern Iowa – 74
