Residents of RH White and Regents halls will get to move back into their dorms on Sunday at noon.
In an admin news email, the University told students that the main campus has fully restored power, including RH White and Regents halls, the CFSB Center and the Bauernfeind Wellness Center. Facilities Management spent today working to prepare these buildings for reopening.
While the CFSB Center and the Wellness Center remain closed today, they will return to normal operating hours tomorrow.
Some residents of RH White and Regents halls paid for hotel rooms during their dorms’ closure, incurred expenses which the University acknowledged in their most recent email. The email said details related to their expenses will be given to residents during move-in on Sunday.
In the petition to “Demand Accountability for Murray State University’s Negligent Infrastructure,” many signers have expressed hopes that the University will fully reimburse students for hotel rooms, food and ruined medication.
“Our residential housing staff including our resident advisors, resident directors, and our housing office continue to assist students with specific needs, circumstances and questions they may have,” administrative staff wrote in the email.
Campus will return to a normal schedule for all classes and campus operations on Monday.
