Murray and the surrounding areas were blanketed with two to six inches of snow on the evening of Feb. 18. Even though the roads had been pre-treated, the snow caused numerous accidents and caused many to slide off the roads and become stuck. Crews worked throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning clearing snow off the roads and parking lots.
Students and members of the community took advantage of the snow day, gathering at the hill outside of the Curris Center for a day of sledding. A group of students also organized an “all campus snowball fight” in the Quad where more than 100 students gathered and enjoyed some time in the snow.
