The Racers combined a score of 2346 in small bore and 2371 in air rifle for an aggregate of 4717 on Saturday morning in Memphis, Tennessee, to top the Memphis Tigers by nine points.
Senior Scott Patterson took first place individually with a season-high aggregate of 1184. He claimed second place in air rifle with a 596 and third place in smallbore with a 588.
“Overall today was a good day for the team and there are many positives to take away from the weekend,” said Patterson to GoRacers.com. “We’ve been extremely consistent in smallbore which is a great foundation to build on. However, we recognize there are some areas we can still improve upon going into (the) OVC Championships next week.”
Senior Zach Jackson fired a season-high of 591 in smallbore, claiming the top spot, while fellow senior John Blanton took fourth place overall with an aggregate of 1176. Blanton scored a 585 in smallbore to secure fifth place and took eighth place in air rifle with a score of 591.
Freshman Carlotta Salafia placed seventh individually with a 1174 aggregate and 72 centers. She took sixth place in smallbore, firing a 582, and reached seventh place in air rifle, marking a 592 with 44 centers.
Junior Paola Paravati claimed eighth place overall, replicating Salafia’s scores with 68 centers. Allison Henry claimed a top f10 spot in air rifle, coming in ninth with a 591.

The Racers will host the 2025 OVC Rifle Championship at the Par Spurgin Rifle Range in Murray, Kentucky, on Feb. 1 and 2.
