Dear Santa,
I’ve been a good little Murray State student this year and so I deserve big gifts this year. I’ve never written you a letter before, but I need your specialties in times like these.
Santa, the first thing I wish for is accessible laundry. My RA’s put a lock and chain on my laundry room door and I haven’t been able to clean my clothes in three weeks. To fix this issue Santa, I ask for a pair of bolt cutters.
I have also been struggling with paying my tuition this year. All these random fees including the “Racer Experience Fee” and “Asset Preservation Fee” have been eating away at my bank account. Santa, I ask for these dumb fees to be taken away pretty please.
Murray State fenced off the parking lot next to the Faculty Hall earlier this year. I think they are building a new nursing and health professionals building, but I haven’t seen any construction yet so maybe it doesn’t exist. Anyway, my favorite parking spot was taken away from me, so I am asking for you to build a parking garage over the president’s house. It would greatly benefit many students like me, thanks.
Living in the North Pole must be very cold Santa, I wish the same could be said for my classrooms. Currently, in the building where I am writing this letter, it is 85 degrees, and I am sweating everywhere! Can you please bring the North Pole to Murray State so my classes can finally be comfortable with temperatures?
Sorry if my grammar is poor in the letter Santa. I got woken up at 6 a.m. because of the landscapers this morning and I haven’t been able to sleep because all I hear is BRRRRRRRRR from the leaf blower. Can you tell those mean landscapers to start the landscaping at 10 a.m. instead so I can get my beauty sleep? Thank you.
I know you are a big fan of cookies Santa and so am I, however, I won’t be able to get your cookies for Christmas this year. I ran out of Flex two months ago so I’ve been stuck using my $3,000 meal plan at Winslow every day. I hope you can forgive me and still give me all the presents I’ve been asking for. If you want to help me with getting more cookies, you can gift me with more Flex or meal exchanges this year for Christmas.
A gift you and the elves can give me is a new bike. My bike was stolen because I couldn’t find a bike rack to put it in. I wish Murray State would put more bike racks in so I could lock my bike up. Can I also get a bell and basket for my bike? I can use the bell to tell the walkers I am speeding past them and the basket to carry my $300 textbook that I will use once the entire semester.
I also need new socks because all my socks have holes in them Santa! One pair I would literally die for is a pair of socks with Bob Jackson’s face plastered all over them so I can honor his retirement. He is the best Murray State president I’ve ever had!
I think that is it Santa. I hope you can get me all these gifts this year. I’ve been hoping for these changes all year so I hope you can deliver. Be safe Santa and don’t crash on Christmas!
