Murray State rifle claimed two wins across the weekend of Nov. 2-3 as they beat Ohio State and UTEP in Columbus, Ohio.
The Racers beat both teams on Nov. 2, posting an aggregate score of 4713 and claiming the top three individual places. Scott Patterson took first overall with an aggregate of 1183, shooting a 686 in air rifle and a 597 in smallbore, good for top of both categories.
Caroline Martin and John Blanton both posted aggregate scores off 1178, with Martin totaling a 583 and 595 and Blanton scoring a 585 and 593.
On Nov. 3, Murray State beat UTEP 4728-4681. They posted season-high team aggregate and smallbore scores.
Seven Racers made the top-10 with Patterson taking first again. He shot a season-high aggregate if 1186, with a 595 air rifle score and a season-high smallbore score of 591.
Blanton took second with an aggregate score of 1186. Martin and Emma Lawrence rounded out the top-five with an aggregate score of 1175. Alok Joarder, Zach Jackson and Paola Paravati also placed in the top-10.
Rifle is back in action on Nov. 16 when they travel to Lexington, Kentucky for a matchup against Kentucky and Army.
