On Sunday afternoon the Racers took on the Illinois State Redbirds and tied 1-1 after a hard fought match. In the first half, the Racers outshot the Redbirds 6-3 but could not score a goal. The match remained scoreless until freshman Breece Bass scored a goal in the third minute of the second half, putting the Racers ahead with just over 40 minutes left to play. In the final four minutes, the Redbirds were able to score from a header, tying the match.
