David Wilson will serve the remainder of former staff regent Jessica Evans’ term after winning the run-off election against Audrey Neal on Thursday, Jan. 4.
The run-off election was held Jan. 3-4 after the four candidates Wilson, Neal, Dedrick Brooks and Leanna McClure failed to get 40% of the vote.
Wilson received 164 votes to Neal’s 133. Election results show only 305 of the 629 eligible voted in this special election.
Wilson has been a University employee for 27 years, currently serving as the director of housing and residence life.
Wilson’s term will end on June 30, 2024.
