The Center for Student Engagement and Success hosted the 5th annual First-Generation celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 8. Recipients of two first-generation student scholarships were recognized during the celebration. Juhyeon Bang, a senior English education/TESOL major, was awarded the Travis and Kelly First-Generation Scholarship and Graci Arnold, a senior wildlife conservation biology major, was awarded the Earl and Sue Steel Scholarship.
In addition, the Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the First-Gen Thrive lounge, located in Lowry Center 2C.
