The Murray State men’s golf team took home eighth place after competing in the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tennessee on March 15, and March 16.”
With scores of 285-297-296 the team ended with a stroke total of 878. The tournament’s contributing players were senior Avery Edwards, who took home 19th place with scores of 68-75-74?217. There were 77 players through the tournament with Murray State golfers taking home eighth place.
Freshman Tyler Powell placed 29th as he carded 73-75-72?220. Senior Austin Knight took home scores of 73-72-77?222 in 34th place. Seniors Connor Coombs and Quinn Eaton shared 37th place with Coombs scoring rounds of 71-76-76?223 and Eaton carding 74-75-74?223.
The Murray State men’s golf team will travel to Greensboro, Georgia to compete in the National Intercollegiate. The event will be hosted by Mercer University at The National Course at Reynolds Lake Oconee on Monday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 30.
