Educate to Career ranked Murray State as a tier 1 university in the ETC 2020 College Rankings.
According to ETC’s website, the nonprofit organization is dedicated to enabling high students and teachers to make “informed, objective college and career planning decisions,” which ETC has been doing since 2013.
The annual ranking is conducted based on factors such as: average net cost in-state students pay, jobs and salaries recent graduates have landed, loan default and graduation rates.
The 2020 College Rankings incorporated a new update for lining up the most efficient and affordable universities. To be considered tier 1 in the 2020 ranking, a university had to include several vital advantages: a physical campus for in-classroom instruction, a faculty with online-teaching experience, “robust” software and compatible with distance learning programs and reasonable tuition and fees on a relative basis.
ETC found Murray State a tier 1 institution, calling Racer Nation out for the commitment the university has to making valuable, affordable degrees that place the Racers in a position to succeed upon graduation.
Murray State’s reputation for affordability, practicality and high graduation rate earned recognition from other reputed sources, as well. Washington Monthly named Murray State a university that provided the “best bang for the buck.” Forbes called Murray State “one of America’s best colleges” for the 12th year straight.
