Staff report
A student reported to the Murray State Police Department at 1:07 p.m. on Feb. 26 that she was raped by an acquaintance in a residential college on campus.
The alleged assailant is known to the victim according to the Timely Warning all students, faculty and staff received Sunday evening by email. The assault was reported to have occurred Feb. 26 during the early morning hours.
The Murray State Police Department is investigating the incident. The university will not comment on an active investigation.
This is the only sexual assault reported this semester.
