Murray State student, Tori Wood, was awarded the National Panhellenic Conference scholarship for her contributions to the Panhellenic community.
Wood, junior from Symsonia, Kentucky, is president of the Murray State Panhellenic Association and is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority.
“I have been supported and strengthened by so many within our Greek community and outside of it as well,” Wood said.
She said she shares the honor of receiving the scholarship with her Greek adviser, professors, sorority sisters and Panhellenic executive team who have guided her through the process.
“In applying, I genuinely didn’t believe I would receive it, but I am also a firm believer in trying,” Wood said.
The scholarship was open to all junior and senior Panhellenic women in the United States.
“I truly believe our Greek community excels beyond so many others across the nation,” she said. “That in itself deserves great recognition and to be a part of that is truly humbling.”
