Laura Lohr, president of Murray State’s Staff Congress and a member of the provost and vice president of Academic Affairs search committee, announced Wednesday to the Staff Congress that the search committee’s work was finished.
However, no new provost was named.
Adrienne King, vice president of Marketing and Outreach, said the search process was put on hold pending further budget discussion.
“As I’m sure you’re aware, the university is currently discussing possible implications should the Governor’s proposed budget cuts occur,” King said. “This search has been put on hold, as have several others across campus, until the university’s budget is finalized.”
King said Tim Todd remains interim provost and vice president of Academic Affairs.
