Earlier today, Circuit Judge Dennis Foust issued his ruling denying the motion to dismiss six tampering charges against Jerry Walker.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Mark Blankenship filed the new charges.
Walker’s initial trial in 2001 ended with a hung jury and then during July another jury acquitted Walker on charges of manslaughter and wanton endangerment.
Following the second trial’s ruling, Blankenship came forth with new charges, which allege Walker tampered with evidence.
Walker will be in court Nov. 13.
Each trial relates to the 1998 fire at Hester College, which killed Murray State sophomore Michael Minger.
