On Saturday Feb. 15, the women’s basketball team faced off against the UNI Panthers in an unorthodox, limited power game. Tip-off was postponed over an hour due to a campus wide power outage, forcing the CFSB Center to run on limited generator power.
Four Racers had 16 or more points, leading the Racers to the win: Katelyn Young with 30, Haven Ford with 23, Ava Learn with 21, and Halli Poock with 16. The team as a whole knocked down 11 three point shots out of a total 25 attempts, and went 21 for 23 at the free-throw line.
With this win, the Racers are just 1.5 games behind the conference leader, Missouri State.
Final score:
Murray State – 96
Northern Iowa – 91
