The Murray State University campus remains without power shortly after noon on Saturday, Feb. 15.
According to a statement emailed to the campus community, Murray Electric System and outside electrical contractors are on campus now to address the outage. Emergency generators are operating on campus, and the University plans to have power restored soon.
Murray Electric System responded to an outage on the northwest area of Murray early Saturday morning. According to their Facebook page, power was restored with the exception of the Murray State campus. Their comment on their post said the campus outage would be handled by Facilities Management.
The women’s basketball game against the University of Northern Iowa, originally scheduled for 2 p.m., has been moved to 3 p.m.
